What Should I Wear to My Escape Game Experience? Part 2

Part 2: How to Come Up with the Ultimate Escape Game Inspired Attire

A few days ago, we answered one of the top questions we get asked by players at Lucardo:

what should I wear to my escape game experience?

That blog covered everything you need to know about how to dress safely, comfortably, and

appropriately for any game you might play at Lucardo and beyond. We hope it was helpful!

Now, however, we’re coming at you with a Part 2. Forget practicalities, this post is how you

go about really capturing the essence of escapism in preparing the most iconic game outfit,

from incorporating a theme, right down to picking out your gadgets! Ready to learn how to

put together the ultimate in escape room fashion? Read on!

Disclaimer: this post is intended as a bit of fun, and definitely should not be taken seriously.

If you’re genuinely wondering what to wear for an escape game, please read Part 1 of this

blog post. If you’re looking for some wacky inspiration or costume ideas for your next escape

room-inspired party, however, keep reading…

Locks and Keys

What better way to incorporate the whole “escape room vibe” into your outfit than by

accessorising with locks and keys?

After all, they’re gold and shiny, so would make some pretty epic statement jewellery

pieces. We’re thinking padlocks affixed to your belt loops, and keys tied to necklaces,

bracelets, shoelaces, the works.

We’re not suggesting you come fully chained-up like Houdini, by any means. But, if you feel

like adding a few padlocks, keys, or other “escape game memorabilia” to your ‘fit, you go for

it!

Gadgets

Alternatively, you could take inspiration from the likes of Bond and arrive bearing an outfit

that’s mission-ready. While we firmly advise against high heels with built-in lock picks,

glasses with UV scanners, belt-buckles that double as safe crackers, or any kind of lasers,

we’d definitely give anyone who chooses these an “A” for their efforts into escape game

accessorizing.

Team Branding

Nothing says “we mean business” than when a team arrives for their game sporting

matching t-shirts, especially when their unique team name is emblazoned across the front!

This brings us to the topic of team branding, which is something we do see every so often at

Lucardo. Whether you’re playing as friends, colleagues, or even professional escapees,

we’re always impressed by a bit of competitive flair incorporated into a team’s outfit. So, if

you want to head on down to your nearest printers and get “The Escape-Peas” or “The

Happy Houdinis,” we’d love to see them in action!

Embrace the Theme

All escape rooms have a theme, so why not let that inspire you when choosing your outfit?

We love a good dress-up here at Lucardo, so would always encourage robes and hats for

University of Magic players, and all things festive for Claus for Concern. If you want to dress

as Guy Fawkes to play Treason, or as a creepy doll for Orphanage, then we aren’t stopping

you!

So, has that inspired anyone? Will you be getting your friends bespoke uniforms for your

next escape adventure, or raiding the fancy-dress closet after choosing your next room?

Remember, none of this is necessary for you to enjoy your experience, and what really

matters is that you are safe and comfortable in the game. So, whatever your fashion tastes

may be, we hope to lock you up soon!
