Would Santa Like Escape Rooms?

We Think Santa Would Be a Huge Escape Room Fan - Here's Why!

In today's article, we’re going to explore the reasons why we believe that Santa would be a fan of escape rooms. From the nature of a puzzle-filled experience to the general enjoyment a good escape can bring, we think this hobby would be well-suited to Santa Claus himself, and here’s why...

First of all, let’s start with the obvious. We all know how good Santa is when it comes to out-of-the-box problem solving. From utilizing a magical reindeer’s nose as a full-beam sleigh headlight, to the security-free use of a chimney to swiftly access a property, you wouldn’t be wrong in saying that the merry man is quite an original thinker. So, with all this already in his skillset, we’re sure Santa would have absolutely no trouble at all getting his teeth into a puzzle-filled escape room. In fact, we’d imagine he’d also be rather adept at designing escape rooms too – perhaps that’s a nice little hobby he should consider taking up in his retirement.

Next up, teamwork! Up in the North Pole, it’s no secret how everyone plays their part to get the job done. From the elves in their workshops to the reindeer in the transportation department, all involved are vital in making sure the “big day” goes as smoothly as possible for Santa. They’re such a bunch of team players, in fact, that we’d even go as far as suggesting that a North Pole team wouldn’t bicker in the midst of a high-stakes escape room environment. We bet they’d just share out some hot cocoa and crack on merrily, keeping to that vital “all is calm, all is bright” mantra.

Another key consideration about escape rooms which we think Santa would approve of is the limited time commitment the experience requires. Listen, Santa is a busy man. With all those toys and travelling, he simply doesn’t have the hours in the day to take up one of the more all-consuming hobbies, such as carpentry, crochet, or the study of Latin. Thankfully, an escape room will be over in one exciting, hour-long burst, leaving Santa adrenaline-fueled, happy, and ready to get back to polishing his boots. A great, quick break for a busy man.

Speaking of boots, we believe Santa would appreciate that it would be perfectly acceptable for him to visit an escape room completely donned in his iconic attire. As we’ve previously covered here on the blog, it’s important to be comfortable when completing an escape room, meaning guests can wear what they like without the need for special clothing or uniform. If Santa wants to wear his letterbox-red suit and fluff-lined hat, then he’s welcome to. In fact, we regularly see guests donning Christmas hats while they play our room Claus for Concern, so we’re sure he’d fit right in.

To add to this further, escape rooms don’t discriminate – anybody is welcome to come and play with us. You don’t need to be as smart as Sherlock or as agile as an athlete. We don’t need Poirot-level detective skills nor Einstein-worthy intelligence. As long as you’re there to have fun and enjoy the game, that’s all that matters. Again, everyone is welcome, and that includes Santa himself!

Which brings us to the final argument of the case. Christmas is a wonderful time to enjoy with loved ones around you, and we’re glad to offer a selection of exciting escape games to immerse yourselves into as a group. Here at Lucardo, we love regularly welcoming teams of families, friends, colleagues, and more, all enjoying a unique day out escaping together. We’re sure Santa would approve, and hope you do too!

So, in conclusion, we’re confident in saying that Santa IS an escape room fan. We’re hopeful he’ll pay us a visit for a game or two over the festive season, and we would love to see you come and join us this Christmas, too. To book in, simply give us a call or visit our website here. We look forward to locking you up soon!
