The University of Magic is Now Enrolling!

Did you know that Lucardo offers not one, but two magic-themed escape rooms? With one each located at our Manchester and Rawtenstall centres, these enchanting escapes are some of our most popular, not to mention stunning rooms we have to offer. Prepare to become a student at the infamous University of Magic, and unlock the magical mysteries each venue has to offer…

While both rooms are similar in theme and style, it is important to note that each of these rooms offer a completely different and unique, magical experience. That’s different puzzles, separate spells, fresh challenges… all carefully designed to test your wizarding skills.

In Manchester city centre, the University of Magic is looking to enrol new students to its prestigious academic programme. You’ve received a coveted admissions invitation, and now your Entrance Exam date has arrived. Get ready to test your wizarding wits as you progress through the university’s dungeon, casting spells, mixing potions, and unlocking the dark secrets of the establishment.

Meanwhile, in Rawtenstall, the University of Magic: Dragon’s Heart will take you to Mr Oggles’ Magic Shop, where an array of peculiar goods and magical wares lurk in every corner. The quirky yet brilliant proprietor, Mr Oggles himself, has gone missing, so it’s up to you as the most talented (and newly-trained) witches and wizards to work your way through his store to retrieve a stolen dragon’s heart. Without this, magic as we know it will cease to exist across the land! Your task won’t be easy, however, as Oggles’ curious, cobweb-filled, candlelit store is home to all sorts of puzzles and oddities designed to block your way, meaning only the finest of witches and wizards will be able to succeed in this mission.

Now for some small print… It is not necessary to have played one of these rooms in order to play/understand the other – they are separate, and can be enjoyed independently of each other. Both of these escape rooms are suitable for younger players, however adult supervision will likely be required to solve some of the trickier puzzles. Neither are designed to be frightening nor uncomfortable, but both games do feature dimly-lit spaces, and themes of sorcery.
