How To Make Your Escape Game Host Love You!

Have you ever had a game host so fabulous, that they’ve really made your escape room experience all the more enjoyable? We know we have!

Ever wondered how you can return the favour?

Well, wonder no more. Here are our top five tips on how to make your game host absolutely adore you, straight from game hosts themselves…

1.      Be Nice to Us

First up is the easy one – just be nice and courteous to us, as we will be with you! Please arrive on time as we can’t wait to meet you and get you locked up (yes, we know that sounds more sinister than it is!) and treat us and our rooms with respect.

It’s not a lot to ask, but manners really do go a long way!

2.      Be Honest With Us

Our number one priority as game hosts is making sure our guests have the best time. So, if you have any requests, or problems, or concerns – let us know about it! This can include anything from requesting we turn the lights up in your room to double-checking something we’ve said in our briefing – anything to make you feel more comfortable.

Be sure to let us know any requirements as soon as possible, and please don’t leave it until after your game!

3.      Listen to Us

If we send you a hint, please don’t say things like “ignore that, I know what I’m doing” or “no, I think we should do it this way instead.” Similarly, if we’ve asked you not to move heavy objects or climb on furniture, please heed our request.

Believe it or not, us game hosts actually know the rooms, and you can fully trust any advice we give you. As we’ve said before, your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, so be sure to pay attention when we’re trying to help you!

4.      Keep Things Tidy

Far too much of our time is spent scouring rooms with torches to find keys obscurely hidden from us down the backs of furniture. Whyyyy?

Our favourite teams are the ones who leave our rooms tidy for an easy reset! So, if you’re able to leave padlocks open and near where you found them, we’ll love you forever.

5.      Leave us a Review

We absolutely love it when teams leave us reviews on TripAdvisor, especially when they mention game hosts by name.
