Here at Lucardo, we are keen to share that Gem Runner will soon be closing at Lucardo Manchester, to make way for an all-new game experience!

Yep, if you’ve yet to experience the high-stakes thrill of stealing that Saratov Diamond, you’d best get booking your 75-minute escape room adventure before it’s too late.

What is Gem Runner?

This awesome, bank heist-themed game was one of the first to open at our Manchester site, as well as being the first game to open at our Rawtenstall venue too. As Gem Runner Rawtenstall closed back in 2021 to make way for Treason, this will be player’s last chance to experience this unique escape room, completely exclusive to Lucardo!

You have until the end of summer to play the game, before construction begins on the exciting, all-new adventure. Don’t miss out!

Your Mission

Have you heard of the Saratov Diamond? It’s a famous, 190 carat jewel from Russia, which has been deposited at the central bank in Manchester. The Lucardo robbers are desperate to get their hands on the infinite wealth and possibility this diamond carries, and that’s where you come in.

We’ve hacked the security system at the bank, and bought you a one-hour window to steal that diamond. Do you think you and your team can pull off Manchester’s biggest ever heist?

Review

Earlier this month, myself (Mads) and Alex – both of us Game Hosts at Lucardo Rawtenstall – were lucky enough to play Gem Runner for the first time in Manchester.

We had a great hour solving the unique, bank-inspired puzzles, which include a great mix of logic, observation, and hands-on activity. This game is particularly renowned for having lots of different spaces to explore, and fans of traditional-style escape rooms are sure to love this fun-filled adventure.

Under the guidance of the awesome Game Hosts Sarah and Marc, we were able to escape with just over nine minutes remaining on the clock.

What’s Next at Lucardo?

At the moment, we can’t reveal any spoilers as to the theme of the new escape room, set to take the place of Gem Runner.
