Where to Park on Your Visit to Rawtenstall

Got a game booked at Lucardo, but you’re unfamiliar with Rawtenstall? Don’t worry! We’re so lucky to be based in a town with so much easy, free parking availability, perfect for enjoying a day out in Rossendale.

So, plan ahead and keep reading to discover our comprehensive, insider list of all the best places to park for when you visit us.

Where to Park in Rawtenstall

Quick Read!

Our top picks for the closest car parks for guests would be:

Rawtenstall bus station car park off Kay Street

Kay Street Car Park (to the rear)

On Kay Street itself (right in front of us)

Keep reading for a detailed description about each of these options plus more, so you can accurately and confidently prepare for your visit...

Please Note: the following information was correct at the time of writing (December 2023). Please continue to monitor signage for updated restrictions, which may change at any time. Remember: Lucardo do not have ownership or jurisdiction over any of the following car parks.

In Front of Us

Lucardo Rawtenstall is based within a row of terraced stores, and there is free street parking directly outside our front door. Visitors are permitted to park here for no longer than an hour during the daytime hours – so whether or not you choose to leave your car here would depend on your confidence at getting out the room quickly!

On Sundays and evenings after 6pm however these restrictions lift, giving you more time, but do continue to check signage before leaving your vehicle.

In the Bus Station Car Park

Just a few yards down from us is Rawtenstall Bus Station, which has a moderately-sized car park accessible off of Kay Street. This is free, long-stay parking, so a great option for guests to utilise.

Kay Street Car Park

Also in our immediate vicinity is the large Kay Street Car Park. However, it is important to note that the portion of the lot closest to the Cricket Club is metered, and drivers will need a blue disk to park there. We are unable to provide these blue disks. However, the rear section of the car park (behind the buildings) is a free, long-stay car park, and one we utilise regularly.

A Bit Further Afield

If you’re looking to explore Rawtenstall a bit further during your visit (which we would always encourage!), there are a couple of other places you may choose to park.

Within a short walking distance of us, you’ll find various-sized disk parking spaces on Newchurch Road, Ormerod Street and James Street. Haslingden Road has a free, timed car park, as does Millgate and the Rawtenstall Market. The nearby Lidl, Asda, B&M and Tesco superstores all also have large, timed car parks available for their customers.

We hope that helps, and we'll see you soon!
