The staff at the Duck and Drake are wonderful, especially our kitchen workers, who are always willing to help. Plus, our charming watering hole offers a fantastic location, with a superbly close proximity to the Houses of Parliament. Locals will often gather to discuss the latest political climate and orders by King James I, although we would encourage discretion… we don’t want any unsavoury plots developed here!

Between brews, we love to encourage our customers to enjoy socialising over a game, and we have a fabulous array of activities on offer. Try your hand at darts, dominoes, or even a card game or two… but watch out for swindlers, who are always lurking around every corner. It is 1605, after all.

We would like to acknowledge that a few of our recent reviews mention our patron’s disquiet at the presence of a suspicious-looking individual lurking in our establishment. The male in question sports a large, ginger-hued beard, scraggly hair, and frequently wears a large, dark hat. We understand he has been making concerning comments about dynamite and treason. However, we urge you not to worry, as our team have hired a force of cognizant armed security to ensure no wrong-doing occurs in these parts.
